Q & A
What types of safety precautions are taken on our trips?
The JEC holds safety to the highest standards. We are constantly in contact with our tour operator while on the tri,p who is in touch with the Israeli government, updating us constantly.
Do you go anywhere else besides Israel?
We do have specialty Taglit- Birthright Alumni trips each year. You will find them on the trips portion of our site when their applications are up.
What if I can’t make the trip?
If you are unable to make the trip but have already made payment, you may be able to be reimbursed if we can fill your space. If we are not able to fill your space, you will lose your payment.
What if I am not accepted?
Our trips are highly competitive. If you have not been accepted on our trip do not take our decision personally.
How does the waitlist work?
If you are placed on our waitlist, you will be contacted if someone cancels on the trip.
How does the process work once I am accepted?
If accepted, you’ll receive a call and email confirming your acceptance. You will have approximately two weeks to make payment and send in your waiver.
Why do you have a requirement of not being married?
At this time, our trips have a requirement of being unmarried. We have taken married couples on the passed trips and may do the same in the future.
Can I go on a trip with my friend, family member, girlfriend or boyfriend?
It is encouraged that you tell your friends about our trips, we do not advertise and work almost solely on word of mouth.
What are your trip criteria?
Our basic trip criteria for all trips are the following:
-You must live in NYC or the surrounding area, no more than 45 min outside the city
-Ages 21-30
-Not Married
-Jewish
What if I don’t get a call after submitting my application?
Please do not call us if you do not receive a call after submitting your application.
